‘A CITY LIKE NO OTHER’: BLOOMINGDALE’S – DUBAI SHINES THE SPOTLIGHT ON FALL ‘16 COLLECTIONS

Fashion took over the city as Bloomingdale’s launched its Fall ‘16 event - a unique and dynamic celebration of style, color and music ‘Like No Other’. Diners at three locations in Dubai - Tribeca, Billionaire Mansion and La Cantine du Faubourg - were surprised and delighted as the location was suddenly transformed and they witnessed a high energy flash mob style fashion show featuring some of the most coveted designer and contemporary labels, some of which are exclusive to Bloomingdale’s in the Middle East. In addition to the restaurant’s regular diners, over one hundred VIP guests of Bloomingdale’s were treated to dinner and an energetic presentation of fashion’s must-have looks and labels at the final destination of the evening, La Cantine du Faubourg. The show was a kaleidoscope of rich tones, prints and graphics, and opulent lace by designer brands including Jonathan Simkhai, Marc Jacobs, MSGM, Theory, Yuliya Magdych, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Helmut Lang. Each ensemble was combined with an exciting mix of the season’s must-have accessories by Marchesa, Ben-Amun, Kenneth Jay Lane, Mer’s and Gianvitto Rossi amongst others. Stars of the ‘City Like No Other’ campaign – Ali Mostafa, Rania and Zaina Kanaan, Mona Kattan, Nouraldin Al Yousuf, Rue Kothari, Ruthie Fischer and Sally Matthews - also joined the launch celebration at La Cantine du Faubourg. Models showcased statement make-up looks to complement the evening’s theme. Bold hues were set against the eyes and lips by Laura Mercier while the hair was styled in waves, ponytails, boxer braids and coiffed in buns courtesy of AVEDA.
