Al Tayer Insignia was awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR-Label in recognition for our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability efforts during a recognition ceremony held at Dubai Chamber on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
The award was presented by H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and received by Rania Shamas, Senior Vice President – Retail Operations Support, Al Tayer Insignia.
Al Tayer Insignia has long been an involved patron of causes and charities supporting the wellbeing and future opportunities for children in line with our CSR purpose 'We believe children deserve the best'. In 2015, the Company CSR evolution took the shape of breaking a Guinness World Record®, to promote autism awareness, and in 2017 we partnered with Kalimati on their 'Yalsatna' community initiative to showcase the importance of sitting together as a modern strategy for social communication - building bridges, narrowing gaps and encouraging inclusion - through the design by various community groups, and installation of benches in Bloomingdale's windows during Ramadan. Alongside our broader approach of raising awareness, select licensed fundraising is done in partnership with our chosen charities, including an annual talent competition and significant participation in the annual Walk for Education by Dubai Cares, and the Al Noor Funfair.
The Dubai Chamber CSR-Label is designed to provide a diagnostic framework and a learning and development tool to help companies define and improve their CSR strategies, policies, and management practices. Al Tayer Insignia, the retail company of Al Tayer Group, applied and achieved the Dubai Chamber CSR- Label for the first time this year.
